For those who feel anxious, tension, stress...
My latest Facebook Status:
When you are feeling anxious, remember to breathe. Allow yourself to breathe in and out slowly. Allow your breath to bring you to a place of calmness. Allow yourself to be calm like the eye in the center of the storm.
Sometimes life gets pretty stressful. Seeing my friends stressing out due to final exams, thesis, assignments, reports, presentations.. Not knowing exactly how to help, but to pray for them, and asking them to pray too.
Ways to cope with stress:
1.Pray
Indeed there is probably no prayer that can get you an A on an exam you don't prepare for, and probably no prayer that can change that "B" answer to an "A" answer, BUT, you can rely on God to help you study better and relax more when taking a test. Saying a prayer at exam time can help you focus better on what you have learned so that it comes out by making smarter choices on your exams.
2. Laugh
When things get stressful do the things that make you laugh. Watch a funny youtube clip. Laugh with friends and family. Take some time out to laugh at life.
3. Take a Deep Breath
Breathing is a great way to reduce your stress. Taking deep breaths and doing breathing exercises may seem silly, but it does a lot to relax your body and clear up some of the things clouding your head. Believe me! I always do so.
4. Plan Ahead
They tend to study when test time comes close, do their homework right before it is due, and just "go with the flow."? Sound like "us".. However, having a plan will do a lot to decrease your stress. Give yourself the appropriate amount of time to complete tasks, and break those tasks down into manageable portions.
5. Sleep
It is essential to allowing our bodies to recover from daily stress. You should be getting at least 6 to 8 hours of sleep per night. Pulling an "all-nighters" may seem like a way to get things done, but eventually that lack of sleep takes its toll by making you sick or cranky.
